iFilm's exclusive report on Playwriting Competition at the 35th Fajr International Theater Festival.
Below is a transcription of the report's highlights.
iFilm: The 35th International Fajr Theater Festival is one of the most important events held every year and it has many fans.
Cultural Ministry official: This is the second year that different sections of the Fajr festival begin 2-3 months earlier. This is the play reading section of the event. This event gives us an overview of the things happening in the field of play reading.
Head of City Theater: This section has been held every year along with the other sections of the Fajr Festival. In the two years that Mr. Asadi has been the secretary of the festival, there have been efforts made to create some new changes at the festival. There has been special attention paid to having the top plays performed so that they can be introduced to the theater industry, especially those who are into producing plays.
Fajr Theater Festival official: I believe it can be a turning point in Dramatic arts in our country. The selection of plays which have been mostly written by the young writers and have formed based on social issues is a good thing. I hope these plays can be turned into theater productions.
iFilm: This is the second edition of the competition. This year, 135 works were sent to the festival, among them 10 competed with each other. Three of them will be published after receiving an award.
